Marcus Rocque
Marcus Rocque is Vice President, Research at the ARC Energy Research Institute, where he helps investors and business leaders understand the forces reshaping energy markets. His work connects energy economics, public policy, technology and investment, translating complex developments into practical insights for the energy industry.
Marcus researches both conventional and emerging energy systems. He is particularly interested in how markets and policy influence investment, how new technologies compete with incumbent energy sources, and how the industry navigates the tensions among energy security, affordability, competitiveness and emissions reduction.
Marcus regularly briefs investors, executives and other industry audiences and has spoken at conferences and moderated expert panels. He also contributes research and analysis to the ARC Energy Ideas podcast and has joined the show multiple times as a guest. Marcus holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University.
